Hello
I am a third-generation resident of Manlius and a second-generation graduate of F-M. I married Tine in 1996, and together we have three amazing children—Febe, Kobe, and Luna—all proud F-M graduates. I own Rob Oley Inc., a painting company, and was elected as a Trustee to the Village of Manlius board in 2022. For the past 23 years, I’ve worked as an IT Coordinator at Tracey Road Equipment. Many of you might also recognize me from Buzzy’s Diner, our family-run business that served the village for 29 years.
My Story
My commitment to community was evident early, as I had held the position of class president my senior year, Class of 87. More recently I have started Manlius Cornhole and run a tournament during the Fourth of July festivities for the past 5 years.
I stay informed of Village happenings by attending board meetings and have done so for the past four and half years. At the meetings I use the public forum to ask questions and challenge the current board on issues such as vacant buildings, traffic flow and how the village will keep a community feel for their long-term residents. I feel more can be done and I want to help.
I am looking forward to running a bi-partisan campaign, hence the choice of purple. I want to serve the community that I love so much. And that is it!
